Team Foundation Server Version Control

Skillsoft issued completion badges are earned based on viewing the percentage required or receiving a passing score when assessment is required. Version control allows you to track code changes over time and provides you with options for accessing these previous versions when needed. In this course, you'll learn about version control in Team Foundation Server. You'll first examine some TFC basics and terminology, as well as how to connect with Visual Studio. You'll explore Team Explorer panes, the checkout model, and how to work with Source Control Explorer. Next, you'll learn to work with the Pending Changes window, compare files, review local changes, and deal with conflicts. Finally, you'll explore the use of shelvesets, branching and merging, and merging changes between branches. This course was originally created by Global Knowledge (GK).
